Pros

Good place to have on your CV. OK salaries, though increases are rare, unless you are with in with the 'old boys'

Cons

No real progression, no vision, traditional sales company, has a culture of doing bare mimimun. Visionaries need not apply. Company looking for a sale, so more and more benefits being taken away from employees. You are just another number.

Pros

9-5 days no weekends City centre location Free fruit Good people on the sales floor

Cons

Never really had to deal with so much in one company I don’t know where to start Firstly there is No organisation within the office during my time at Iris I was made to do 5 different desk moves including doing IT’s job of setting up the systems and phone lines. Not only do they expect you to do this like it is normal process they also expect you to do it either 5mins before the end of your shift or expect you to come in early it’s really a joke when the whole office is moving at once sometimes to different floors. Unprofessional sales culture and micromanagement sales staff are treated like numbers they don’t take employees comments or experience into account instead they are barked at each day hourly about how much money they need (very unprofessional) when you are on the phone trying to provide a service and not make it seem like a sales floor call centre (which it is) this also zaps moral. Employees are just placed on to team to team and left in a sink or swim situation with little to no help what do big decisions are made without consulting or thinking about the employee in question.
