Senior management also continually assess workloads within teams and we empower employees to share their feedback with us through our engagement survey tool, Peakon, which gives everyone the opportunity to send suggestions directly to managers to support planning and prioritising workloads effectively. We’re proud to have improved our Workload driver on Peakon to 8.3 out of 10, which is 0.6 above our true benchmark and puts us in the top 25% of technology companies.
We’re very proud to be accredited as a Real Living Wage employer, this means we commit to paying a fair wage to cover at least the real cost of living in the UK as calculated by the Real Living Wage Foundation. In October 2024, the Real Living Wage Foundation announced their increased new rates for 2025 and although these rates don’t come into effect until May 2025, we’re uplifted our Real Living Wage salaries to the new rates effective November 2024. This is a significant increase to the cost to IRIS but we’re proud to take this action to support our lower paid employees as soon as we can. We also operate pay scales in select department which enables our employees to grow their salaries as their skills develop.
