Pros

Occasionally get the weekends off

Cons

Understaffed. Management don't know anything about the services offered nor are they willing to learn. Any bonuses or commission you received before Iris took over your company will be taken away. Employees being signed off with stress related issues in every department. Closed all offices to save costs, but pretend this was done to protect the environment.

Thank so much for taking the time to leave a review, although we are surprised and disappointed by your comments. Our managers and senior leaders have extensive managed payroll experience to support our teams as we grow, and we are delighted to have continually hired people into our managed payroll team throughout the year. We also provide an annual bonus to all our global payroll employees to recognise and reward them for all their hard work throughout the year. We are also committed to offering a great range of mental health and wellbeing support - with trained mental health first aiders, a weekly workplace support group, company-funded access to talking therapies, wellbeing apps, an Employee Assistance Program, and Mindfulness training. Like many companies during the Covid-19 pandemic, we closed many of our offices to ensure that everyone could work from home safely, in accordance with government guidelines. Since then, we have conducted numerous employee surveys to understand if/when they would like to return to their sites. The overwhelming feedback has been that most employees do not wish to return to the office for the majority of their time, so we are looking at the best approach that considers the needs of all of our teams. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

A few decent benefits..yes that’s all I can think of.

Cons

I’m just going to bulletpoint it all, rather than write a big rant. Poor Salary, which never goes up, ever!! Ridiculous workloads Massive pressure on you as a person, and They love to play the blame game, you have to be an expert in covering your own butt. Poor management, you speak about your concerns and end up with another 5 issues on top of what you had in the first place. Bonus scheme - Every year you have to beg for someone to sort your contracted bonus, and because I left in June, they decide that they won’t pay the bonus that covered the last financial year. So all of the hours of hard work, the mental health issues the job caused, the pressure you are put under..all count for nothing, because I chose to leave before they decide they are going to pay the bonus at the end of July. I was left with no choice but to leave this job, for my own sanity. Doesn’t say a lot does it..I’ll await the standard HR ‘response’ to what I have written.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. We’re really sorry to hear you left the company before you could receive your FY21 bonus payout. The T&Cs of the plan are clear that you must be a current employee at the time of payout to receive a bonus under the plan – this was communicated on the plan’s launch in July last year, and was readily available for you to view via your Documents folder in Cascade. It’s normal practice for companies to only pay bonuses to current employees and we follow the standard approach taken by many organisations in this regard. We’re sorry to hear you struggled with your mental health during your time here, and hope you were able to access the many company-funded support options available to you. We’d welcome the opportunity to discuss your feedback in more detail so that we can help. Please reach out to Stephanie.Kelly@iris.co.uk in complete confidence. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

Good culture and technology. Good work life balance. But thats not all, too much politics within teams

Cons

Low paid jobs, very low then the market rates. You will work hard but earn less. No appreciation for your hard work. Poor bonus structure. Better utilise your skills and time where it is worth it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. We're delighted that you enjoyed our fantastic work culture and the exciting technology we're working with. We are fully committed to paying our employees fairly and competitively for the great work they do which is why we're proud to be an official Real Living Wage employer, with all employees paid the Real Living Wage or above. The Real Living Wage is independently calculated by the Real Living Wage Foundation based on what people need to live a good life in the UK based on the true cost of living. We also run a dedicated salary review process each year, including external benchmarking data to ensure we are paying fairly and competitively. On top of this, we operate a range of generous bonus schemes to recognise and reward hard work. These are dependent on you not being on your notice or leaving the company at time of payout, as detailed in the terms and conditions of the plan, and we're sorry if you were impacted by this. We also offer a range of reward and recognition initiatives, including our quarterly IMPACT Awards, annual Top Talent and High Potential Programmes, Thank You Thursdays, weekly IRIS Heros and our Made in IRIS CEO Awards with the chance to win up to £50,000 for great ideas. We would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss your feedback in more detail – please contact Stephanie.Kelly@iris.co.uk (our Chief People Officer), or your HR representative so we can help.
