Pros

Iris have invested heavily in its people. Training and developing staff to bring out their full potential and further develop their already excellent skills. Recently invested in Mental Health First Aid course to help support the mental health and wellbeing of all the Iris family, encouraging people to look after their mental as well as physical health. Together with a support package of private health care, employee support lines, wellbeing support groups and generally showing empathy and compassion, Iris is a great place to work.

Cons

Was acquired by Iris 2 years ago and was initially unsure about our direction. New Management since brought in and communication has vastly improved.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. We’re delighted to hear that you appreciate our extensive range of training and development opportunities. We’ve been proud to continue to run an extensive range of training sessions throughout 2020 which have been very popular – including a big focus on mindfulness, resilience and wellbeing to get us through an unprecedented year. We’ve been delighted to find Mental Health First Aider certification for employees across IRIS so they can feel confident to support colleagues if they are struggling, alongside company-funded private healthcare, our Employee Assistance Programme and Workplace Support Group who meet weekly to discuss a range of wellbeing related topics such as loneliness, stress and helping others during the pandemic. We were delighted to receive Great Place to Work Certification in reflection of the trust, care and respect our employees receive. We are an acquisitive company and we’ve been delighted to welcome you into the IRIS family. We work hard on our communication strategy, including holding monthly site updates, our Your IRIS newsletter, excellent intranet site, Teams channels and Elona’s weekly CEO emails. We’re very excited to have recently launched Peakon to enable our employees to give immediate suggestions and feedback to their managers and senior leaders so we can use your ideas to continuously improve. We really appreciate your feedback and would welcome any further ideas you’d like to share – if so, please email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk or reach out to the HR team. Kind regards, the HR team

Great colleagues, management actually treat you fairly and listen to staff, decent salary, good benefits, and engaging work.

Cons

Unfocused priorities towards a deadline meant that pressure could be high.

Pros

I have to say, IRIS seems to be pulling out all the stops to ensure the wellbeing of employees. There have been lots of initiatives this year aimed at rewarding strong performance, as well as plenty of investment in mental health and ensuring we are all getting through this together. Feels great to be part of this company

Cons

Fast paced environment, which is really energizing, but may not be for everyone
