Pros

Medical Benefits, Telework opportunity to learn how the federal government operates.

Cons

Advanced degrees such as Masters and PhD are not valued, individuals with high school diplomas and sometimes GED are advanced into management positions. These individuals are intimidated by more educated individuals because they don’t have enough knowledge to understand advanced concepts and tend to overwork, under promote, and under-compensate while promoting or creating programs based on OPM guidelines that promote friends and family with lower educational backgrounds, adversely impacting those with advanced degrees.
