Limited growth opportunity, a lot of un-necessary paperwork, takes for ever to get things done, too much emphasis is placed on closing cases instead of doing a quality audit

Pros

Paid time off. Flexibility with shift. Easy. Minimal experience required. Hard to get fired. They train you from bottom up

Cons

Many of your co workers will be lazy and computer illiterate because it is sooooo hard to get fired at the IRS. Most of the employees are much older as a large amount of them retired from their jobs and then started at the IRS.
