Pros

Nobody really bothers you, Your cases are yours and no manager breathing down your neck.

Cons

Can be very intimidating esp when having to talk to taxpayers who may be more knowledgable. Poor communication from govt to employees.

It WAS okay

Pros

-There is was lot of room for growth and movement -It is very difficult to be fired for performance. They spend a lot of time training you, so they will try to do a skill-up and reevaluate before they let you go

Cons

-This current government administration is gutting us. I don't expect to be here after tax season, but my end could come much sooner. -This position requires a lot of research. The work that we do does not match what we are paid. -There was a 2% pay increase since last year, but a 13% insurance premium increase wiped that out.
