Pros

Everyone in my unit was laid back, yet professional. Unit was flexible with work hours and time off. There seemed to be a genuine sense of caring about work-life balance. And the health care, retirement, and life insurance benefits were generous.

Cons

The pay was well below that of the average back-end software developer and the amount of PTO was very little.
