Pros

ITW offers great benefits. Good Pay. ITW Pro Brands makes exceptional products you can be proud of.

Cons

New management was put in place in the summer of 2016 and sweeping changes have been made since. The new leadership does not understand the business and does not communicate with employees--or seem to value them. The only consideration is the bottom line, harshly so--and short-shortsightedly so. This used to be an amazing place to work and, in a heartbeat, it became a prison.

Pros

Good people working hard to achieve common goals

Cons

80/20 focus on people. Big shift in culture to promote and advance select YOUNG high potential individuals - in your 20's... leave if not promoted within 2 years, 30's hit your numbers or you're done, over 45 get in as high as you can, over 50 good luck, over 55 it is not going to happen

Pros

Genuinely caring employees with great work ethic and a desire to meet customer needs.

Cons

The management at this company are completely incompetent at their jobs. This applies to direct supervisors, managers, and directors at the ITW Pro Brands Site. I also had experience with national management that left a lot to be desired. As an employee at this site, you are often overworked, underpaid, and undervalued. I cannot begin to describe the amount of supervisor/employer abuse I witnessed in every single department. Often, when a complaint was brought to management or HR, it was swept under the rug and a replacement was sought immediately. Lack of managerial skills bled into every day work, with workers running equipment they were poorly trained to handle and then blamed for the issues that had incurred while using this equipment. SOPs were confusing and often overlooked. The quality department was a joke, with poorly trained management who was rarely around when needed for floor emergencies. This led to manufacturing supervisors or quality techs needing to make decisions that were over their head and often these decisions were poor and had to be fixed. There is absolutely no room for growth, so don't expect to work here for much longer than a couple of years if you plan on having a fulfilling career. It's a great place to work if you don't mind bad management, poor pay, and a lot of bull. Overall this company is being ran into the ground by the "Directors". They sit in their offices upstairs, completely unaware of what is going on with mid-level management (taking extended breaks, not coming into work altogether, asking employees to cover for them, dumping their work on their employees when they have missed too much work to complete it themselves).
