      Great brands and good benefits

      Cons

      Upper management is new to the industry and learning the business on the fly. If interested in going into sales, run away from any open sales positions as bonuses are few and small if paid out. Bottom Line Profits more important than organic growth. Cite example of no one internally interested in applying for the open National Sales Manager position at ITW.

      Pros

      Great product line with good possibility for growth. Pay is good and can work from home. Lots of traveling worldwide to support and develop distributors, intercompany business and wholesalers.

      Cons

      New management currently in turmoil. A lot of turnovers with many high level executives worried about their positions or new to the organization.

      Not the opportunity it seems.

      The approach to the business is solid. management is knowledgeable. The pay is good and the benefits are decent.

      Cons

      I was painted a picture of new department with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. Quickly i found out that this department is the red headed step child of the company. Managers manage through fear. You must "earn" trust of management, but this trust is not earned easily. Mistakes will not be tolerated. I was threatened to have my company car taken away on my 2nd day of employment. I was threatened to be fired in less than 6 weeks on the job, 3 of those weeks were training. Management is very passive aggressive. I was berated for taking days off after the days were approved by management, I had no problems working if it was asked of me. Management found out i was looking for another job, and i was written up the very next day. This clearly was not the opportunity i thought it would be.
