      Pros

      A great place to work in the ITW family. Each division is somewhat autonomous and follows general ITW business operating principles such as 80/20 and Enterprise strategy. These principles seem to help transform the divisions and make them more efficient and profitable. ITW is very disciplined.

      Cons

      ITW focuses on execution, 80/20 principles intensively. Its innovation strategy of customer back does not leave much room for out of the box innovation.

      Company's 100+ yrs old! CEO success in restructor. On site health club.

      Cons

      Too many layers of management. No promoting within. HR is a snails pace with applicants. Rules for different employee's. Pay is okay. 401k Match excellent!

      Great benefits due to being part of larger corporate company Plenty of time off

      Cons

      Annual review process is a joke Communication is horrible Toxic employees are allowed to stay and oust better employees with slander and gossip

      Monthly written communications and quarterly live town hall sessions were a starting point for us as the business experienced change. We are committed to support our employees through this change and this business long-term. We take your concerns seriously and are investing in additional leadership including a local HR manager who will be based on-site. ITW continues to be successful because we value our people.
