      Great products but very poor management.

      Pros

      Devcon products are top notch. Permatex products very good. Friendly people but untrusting environment. ITW Benefits are solid.

      Cons

      Poor top management. Currently restructuring. Brands being destroyed. Cash Cow mentality. Sales Managers are wet behind the ears. Employees live in fear that their job will be gone at any moment.

      Using the ITW toolbox, they seem to use a common sense approach in managing their business.

      Pros

      The company is definitely geared toward getting good results using the decentralized innovative approach. The company seems to provide a lot of latitude toward creativity and making changes to improve business platforms to get results.

      Cons

      The decentralized business tends to create a lack of standardization among even the sister companies. Also, some of the leaders in key positions are very political (not unusual, of course.) It seems if you aren't aligned with certain people you won't last long.
