      Pros

      If you are an 'actual' employee, pay and benefits are okay.

      Cons

      Company takes advantage of good 'temp' employees. Don't hire the good performing 'temp', they hire the unqualified 'temp' because they are asian or latino.

      Strong Company, good opportunities, good compensation

      Pros

      ITW is a strong company with a very long track record of weathering various storms. I feel like I have good job security, and our massive portfolio diversify helps to reduce layoffs when times get tough in one particular sector. ITW is also generous with compensation even for non managers, which helps keep turnover down for talented individuals.

      Cons

      Pretty light on process at the corporate level compared to similar sized companies. Might not be the right job for you if you like things to be done in a very structured, consistent way. Our style (again, at the corporate level) could often be described as 'seat of the pants'.

      Pros

      Lots of travel and no constraints on expenses. Great health and awareness promotions and activities. Many unusual quality audits that consume resources which create opportunities for networking with other Corporations

      Cons

      Compensation is terrible. Cost of living raises only. Continued responsibilities added to job title and no pay raises or compensation. Weak management at the director level. Do not have ethics or any sense of fairness and managing responsibly. Not accountable for real results with most of the efforts being driven by the mid level managers.
