Pros

-Flexible hours especially if you are a student -Ability to grow from within, this was awesome! -Ability to provide ideas that can lead to new programs, such as yoga that are ABA based -BCBA Supervision accrual without needing to pay the BCBA’s -Access to BCBA consultation -Learning to write reports, graph and assisting with FBA’s (or other assessments)- Not something large companies will do, -Technology, I love NPAworks, it’s easy to manage my schedule with the software -Ziggy the bee, one of the reasons why I joined ICAN-B -Soccer and yoga classes -The in-field checks and performance evaluations across the year -Pay is not bad, especially when promoted to Case Manager -Friendly environment

Cons

-Health Benefits, but yet again I did not work full time -Expectations as a Case Manager are high, can be stressful to meet the expectations -As a Behavior Technicians families cancel -As a Case Manager, dealing with staff being replaced here and there, some parents do not like new staff members and even if its for generalization purposes -Some BCBA’s are more accessible than others for consultation -Needing to overlap with clients on a weekly basis -Writing reports can be tough, especially when there are many reports to write in a month

Great New Hire Training Great Shadowing system Weekly supervision from assigned supervisor Quarterly evaluation system based on my in-field performance Social Skills allow me to interact and work with other staff Provided with opportunity to get my Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification

Cons

Travel can be difficult Schedule can be a bit too scattered even though the scheduling team work with you to figure it out Long days due to too many sessions Follow up training can improve

Flexible schedule; work and school Learning to help people with autism Increase in pay when I got my RBT certification Taught how to graph data When clients cancel we get one hour regardless social skills Holiday party

trainings can be longer no benefits some clients cancel too much
