-Accept or decline as many assignments as you want on the work website, this flexibility is great if you have other full time job or other part-time work. -Paid per event, not hourly, so some times you get to leave a bit early if a graduation ceremony is short. -Decent mileage compensation for driving your own vehicle to shoot location, you can earn some decent money for having to drive long distances. -After about 3 years of doing seasonal part-time work with the company, the regional manager may give you the opportunity to travel out of state for regional ceremonies for which the flights, accommodation and even car rental is booked for you at the company's expense with a per diem meal stipend as well.

Cons

-Operate on some hierarchy of positions -Not enough assignments offered to make a decent income -Have to deal with some micromanaging from higher up within the cookie-cutter photography style set by the company -Pay is biweekly, which is standard, but can feel slow with only a few shoots assigned/offered here and there
