Pros

Some great people working here. Good opportunities for technicians and those without higher level degrees.

Cons

Management is terrible and people are promoted based on who they are friends with or who goes to their church! Unless you know the group that you are applying to and know who will be your boss, don't work here! People hate each other and it's a very toxic environment.

Pros

Compensation is above average Pension plan Subsidized downtown parking

Cons

Bullying is allowed Power is obtained by owning and not sharing information Training opportunities are only allowed for department pets Time off for care of family is "allowed" but then held against you as not being committed to company Managers do not know how to lead Inconsistent feedback You are not given tools to do your job successfully Managers rely on "spies" (this told to me directly from my supervisor) to get feedback on your daily activities and perfomance Leaders have inappropriate relationships with subordinates (taking vacations together, etc) Completing projects on time is more important than completing projects successfully

Pros

Good Pay and Benefits, most departments are great to work for.

Cons

The IT department has a very young management base. Management requires employees to put work above their own lives and families. Salary employees required to work 50 plus hours weekly. Top down management style that takes little or no account for employee opinions and suggestions. They still use a Bi annually employee review system that concentrates on the negative with little or know reward for the outstanding employees.
