Pros

Illumina hires great knowledgeable people that are happy to chip in to get things done. There is very limited office politics and the technology and innovation that occurs here is outstanding.

Cons

Illumina has undergone a quick growth curve resulting in unstructured / underdeveloped business processes. This can lead to a confusing environment that may be difficult to assimilate into if you are timid and shy or not willing to ask questions.

Be able to work for an organization that contributes somehow to life science technologies.

Cons

No work-life balance, lack of team work, lack of recognition from management, and an organization that needs to restructure it's management with more experience to align/support with company growth.

Pros

The company is very innovative so you never feel bored learning the same products...the team is very interactive and great support. The company offers high salary and compensations, and there are lots of trainings on place.

Cons

The management team is not very present on the field and there are too many call meetings and huge amount of admin work. The FAS position is pretty much "Do Everything in 1 job" and the trainings tend to be done too late which brings frustrations in front of the customers.
