      Stupid E-staff hires has destroyed the Illumio culture...Shame on you....

      Pros

      -Some genuine nice folks to work who care about the product and success of the company. -Some nice perks like free lunches everyday and more snacks than you can want -Good central location to commute to Sunnvale

      Cons

      -If you want a good health company culture this is not the company for you. The old Illumio culture is dead and has been replaced by what can nicely be called exceptionally toxic. (Caused primarily by one stupid hire the company will not action) -Complete inability to drive the company to the next level (and admit your stupid errors) The founders do not understand what leadership is and what motivates employees. (Sorry your pittance of stock options don't make the abuse worth it) The founders tolerance (and acceptance) of exceptionally toxic behavior by some e-staff shows worth put on culture and people.

      I’m sorry to hear that one hire destroyed your experience of the Illumio culture. And I would provide similar advice that people going through these reviews should do their homework—read all that there is on Illumio and the posts here. A culture connection is super important to how much we enjoy work. We don’t want to say that we have all the answers but the culture that you felt was dead is very much alive for myself and others. Still, we want you to know that we take every post here seriously and make sure that the feedback goes straight to the team members that can make the biggest impact where needed. Thank you for taking the time to give your perspective and help make us the best we can be.

      Doesn't meet expectations.....by far. In some ways, all that's wrong in Silicon Valley

      Pros

      Short commute Daily free lunches and dinner if you work late Some individually super talented people

      Cons

      -Culture is terrible. Some E-staff..."When we want your opinion we will ask you for it" -Known E-staff who lead by intimidation and fear. -CEO who is clearly out his depth..little leadership skills, ability to scale, and complete lack of knowledge on what drives a good company culture and value system. (yeah look at some of your hires pal)
