I got the job and didn't even know it

Pros

I got the job and the pay isn't that bad.

Cons

I didn't know I got the job, they sent an email and said. "Congrats, you start this day." When I spoke to HR to negotiate the start date they wanted to potentially rescind the offer since they needed that date. Which is funny considering they didn't let me know I had the job, they didn't tell me they were running the background check(I approved it), and there was no phone call from my future boss, saying welcome aboard.
