Pros

There are a few decent people at IB, but most of the competent and motivated people have long since left. The company provides unlimited PTO with no accountability, which is why I stayed as long as I did.

Cons

If you're looking for a career to learn and make a difference, IB is not the place. Leadership is a lot of bluster with no follow-through.

Owner is smart. Don't quite agree with how he does science.

Owner very smart. Has a good eye for promising technologies that he brings in via acquisitions. A lot of very smart people work at ImmunityBio.

Cons

IMHO, I don't think the Owner gave research and development enough time to develop. Science takes time. Failures are part of science. We learn from our failures and do better next time. I felt the company had nixed projects prematurely during the time I was there. This made it very difficult and jarring for employees since they had put so much work into their projects only to get them nixed in a year or so. Also, there were so many projects going on in R&D. I think it would have been better to have less going on but doing those things well.
