Pros

I've been working in the marketing department at Imperva for more than a year. The pros of my experience so far include: Colleagues/management - I didn't know the first thing about cyber security when I began. Everyone here was patient and ready to work with me as I learned the ropes. Atmosphere - The company really knows how to treat their employees. Lots of company events, good food, very helpful HR team. There is definitely a "family" atmosphere here-everyone knows everyone. Flexibility - I'm able to work from home when I need to, and I've never had any issue taking sick leave or vacation. Room for growth - I'm consistently taking on new responsibilities and my salary has increased as a result.

Cons

For anyone who doesn't have experience with cyber security, the material can be very dry and complicated. While you'll definitely have the help you need, it takes a lot of discipline and patience to wrap your head around the more technical concepts.

Lack of culture in the US office

Pros

Great growth potential, some good products. OK comp and equity.

Cons

Upper management seems to only care about sales. Nothing about actually building a great company. No vision. The Redwood Shores office is just a place where I have a desk and some bagels on Fridays. Absolutely no office culture, no vibe, no atmosphere, no style. NOTHING. People eating lunch alone at their desk. ugh. HR? office management? via emails. Company all-hands? Only talks about sales performance and organizational changes. Most of them don't show up to any company event (YES, we noticed.) Who's running the show? seems like no one.

We were temporarily distracted with the expansion and building redesign and lost the area to hold employee functions. Your feedback is relevant, thank you. We have cool, new initiatives launching as we type…even better than bagels, croissants, sweet rolls, lox, cream cheese and fresh fruit…:)
