The best people in a burnout machine

Pros

The compensation was competitive for business roles, less so for engineering roles. However the best part was the people and it was great to work with my coworkers who were there.

Cons

The environment is defined by constant exhaustion and deep burnout. While there is talk of improvements, leadership is talking out of both sides of their mouth as there will be discussion of caring about employee retention immediately followed by talks of aggressive headcount goals and repeating back to back card program launches that the team is not large enough to absorb the shock increase in work. Constantly the team is able make these deadlines based on outsized workload and in many cases forced subpar work to accommodate the pace of work.
