Pros

I have been at InComm for about 3 years. Over the course of my career I have progressed from Intern to Full Time Change Manager I. Starting as an intern I was able to experience the culture, workload and management styles. Culture. Throughout the IT organization I have met several people who all coexist together on a daily basis and have rarely encountered conflict among coworkers. The staff here is friendly to get along with and respectful of each other. Most teams are able to find a work life balance and manage their time. Workload. There are several teams that are subject to work after hours, weekends, extra time then other employees. Being a change manager, I work an hourly rate in order to make-up for the additional hours I work outside the 40 hours a week. Some teams still follow the regular salary paychecks, but I am not an expert on pay. I've noticed teams with heavy workloads are often able to work with their managers to find a solution that is fair to them for working additional hours. Management. I have yet to have a bad experience with a manager here. This is in reference to personal relationship with them and working relationship. The managers here have your back and are understanding to you life, your situations, etc. As far as benefits do I do not have much to compare it to. PTO - 3 weeks, and an additional week after 5 years Insurance - as far as I am concerned, all insurances companies are pricey, so it's nice to be offered coverage WFH - no official policy. Some managers are lenient on this though.

Cons

During my time at InComm, we have gone through several organization changes. When big changes are made, employees tend to respond a little chaotically. I believe management needs to make sure to keep communication flowing between teams to ensure that teams continuing working together the way they need too. This isn't necessarily a con, they are communicating but with so many people the message gets lost. Luckily, the company hosts a town hall to try to keep employees up to date. This resolves some of the chaos, but people are still taken back and during the change it gets a little difficult. Pros to the con -- positions are opened up within the company.
