A great place to work ... but bureaucracy is starting to creep in

Pros

Indeed grew massively over the course of 2016 and essentially has complete market share over the job search market. It's a stable company in a stable industry with a solid, laid back culture and an energetic, youthful workforce.

Cons

The company is growing too quickly and, with the massive scaling, a lot of bureaucracy is creeping in. Some of the startup "perks" are there ... but the startup "feel" no longer is. This is a place where you can work comfortably and without stress; however, it's no longer a place that encourages active experimentation. It's stable, in both the best and worst use of the word.

Pros

- pay good, - you wont have to do much groceries because they have a lot of meals provided - a lot of fun activities, such as interstate trips, great activity days out, sometimes over a couple of days, - you get a lot of cool apparel, this year there are some really nice Indeed bags out, - Free health insurance - good annual leave arrangements

Cons

- needs professional Management, No one in the company takes management serious and thinks they just regurgitate information from training handbooks that are not catered to the Australian Market, - Most of the sales staff had more management experience than the current managers. - intimidation tactics are used as a management style. - No one is happy, and can't leave because we are all on visa. - they have a terrible retention rate, No one good will stay - calls are excessive, need to make 60 calls a day and how can you do that when you only have enough leads (that you have sourced yourself) to last 3 days of calls. - no support in regards to under performing, that's just a green light to performance manage someone out. - we have had discussions about the number of calls and have been shut down, becoming more and more difficult for us to achieve KPI's - Stressful to go home and have to come back in the morning to achieve, - could be an amazing place to work just putting the wrong management in and no one is wanting to stay. - floor conversation consists of how can that manager be in that position - people are promoted if your friends with Management. - people are even promoted when the benchmark requirements aren't met. (hasn't gone unnoticed in the direct team)
