Pros

Because of it's size and reputation, working for Indiana University has benefits such as large staff councils, great healthcare, good pay, etc.

Cons

As with any university, it's full of unnecessary bureaucracy which makes parts of the job really tedious. Trying to get through mountains of seemingly endless paperwork for the simplest task is infuriating!

Pros

Indiana University can be a nice place to work for people looking to gain meaningful experience. The pay is fair but not that great for those who are not administrators or Academic all-stars.

Cons

As with many other Universities, Indiana University does not operate as efficiently as a corporation. This can be a negative, as it takes longer than one might think to get things done.

Pros

Better than average pay for this type of position in this geographic region with pleasant colleagues and a great support staff.

Cons

Inconsistent appointments to position make it unstable employment; however, this is not surprising given the transitory nature of the work.
