Pros

decent pay. good work environment. little stress. very flexible with time off/working around school schedule. very good benefits. overall a good place to work while going back to school or as a first job after graduating

Cons

little to no opportunity for promotions and raises. often have to work alone, so can be kind of boring at times.

Pros

Overall, being a grad student in the neuroscience program has been good. The faculty are very supportive and you are treated well. Good place to cut your teeth as a neuroscientist

Cons

I wish there were more resources available to advise about non-traditional (read: non-academic) scientific careers.

Pros

Nice city, nice people, and could be easy if you do not care...

Cons

Very poor management by university level leaders or school level leaders. None of them are competitive in their own job. They do not understand research or teaching. They only care about money, money, and money. Labs need updates. Many places, you will see lazy, unrespectful people.
