Pros

Everyone is very friendly and the benefits are very good

Cons

Some of the benefits aren't as good as they sound. Ex: my husband is a student at IWU and so I thought I could get him a discount, but when I started working I found out first year I work he gets 0%, second he gets 25% off, three=50%, four=75%,five=100%. So I was already a little annoyed since most colleges gives spouses and children 100% as soon as you work there. But since I still wanted to work there so I sucked it up for a year. However, then I found out the small print that it was only 25% off what wasn't already covered. Which I won't snuff at since it was still a great help, but when they advertise 25% off tuition you think 25% off $30,000 and then only end up getting $1,500 in aid (they calculate after loans and scholarships) you feel a little cheated. He is also continuing to masters and we found out he won't get any discount for that, understandable I guess. I also find it a little annoying that they offer a free bachelors to workers, but if you already went to IWU for your bachelors (I did), they don't offer any reimbursement or forgiveness programs so I don't get any benefits to help with my loans and such. I guess that is also understandable, but still seems like you are being punished for having gone to the school since you can't partake in those benefits if you already went there. So overall, still a great place and there are a lot of other benefits that are good. I guess I just have a bitter taste in my mouth because my husband dropped out of IWU halfway through when we got married so I could finish and after I graduated he went back to finish up his two years. So I racked up a lot of debt from going there but thought I could at least get my husband through with as little as possible, but he got 0% for his junior year and 25% (off after loans and scholarships )for his senior year, which once again helped. However, the people who hired were glowing about the discount so I felt a little gyped when I realized it wasn't going to help much.

The department I worked within had a great culture of care and concern for their employees

Prescription coverage with the health insurance is a little expensive.
