Pros

Great clients. No selling. Continued education.

Cons

They refuse to let you train clients any way other than what a NASM textbook tells them. No critical thinking skills whatsoever. Trainers don’t know how to program to save their lives. Revolving door of trainers. Just a bad place to coach.

Thank you for your feedback. We are extremely clear during the interview process, as well as, during the training period about the expectations of being a trainer at IPT. After 12 years of being in business and getting results for 1000s of clients with a 5-star rating, our clients expect a certain level of training, professionalism, and customer service. As a result, we have all new trainers, regardless of their previous training experience, go through our Training Course, which yes, does include foundational principles from NASM. Although its not the sole focus of program, NASM is the highest ranked certification accredited through NCCA, which is the industry gold standard for Personal Training Certifications. The course also includes many other training principles not commonly taught through NASM for exercise selection, progressions/regressions, core training, etc. If a trainer picks up the material quickly, like most experienced trainers, they typically move on within 2-3 weeks in the course. If not, they continue to work with a manager to understand everything. We understand this may not be for everyone which is why we rarely have trainers quit but our method ensures our trainers are equipped to get our clients results while upholding our standards, which is always our main goal. Lastly, half our staff have been with the company 4 to 8 yrs while the other half 2+ in an industry with a 80%+ turnover rate in year 1. We appreciate the feedback and wish you the best in your career.

We appreciate the feedback however you signed an offer letter allowing you to leave early with 2 weeks notice on Mondays then told us 1 week into the job you needed to leave early every Monday. We decided to look past that until another week went by and you told the owner the day before "I'm not sure if anyone told you" but I'm going to be out tomorrow. This coupled with multiple instances of rudely cutting the owners off when they were trying to teach you processes led to our decision to mutually part ways. Claiming no work life balance after being here for two weeks is quite dishonest. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback however with the level of support, communication, and maturity our customers and team expect, it just wasn't a good fit. We wish you the very best.
