If you are a software engineer considering IH, DO NOT JOIN. Influence Health is not a software company, it is a sales company first and foremost. At a high level, technical decisions will be made by nontechnical vice presidents. You will be required to compromise quality for short-term wins and short-term needs. If you have heard rumors of high turnover and constant layoffs, they are all true. This is not a stable job if you have a family. I did well at IH and learned a lot along the way, but ultimately this is not a place to make a career. There are many other companies in Birmingham that can pay comparably and offer a much better work environment.

Products are not robust to scale, despite promises to clients, installation cannot meet those "sell at all costs" promises resulting in poor customer satisfaction, Blame gets pushed to Implementation, Product & Engineering teams vs Sales for being less than truthful about product capabilities There are no formal training programs either - new employees seem to struggle with lack of formal "on-boarding"
