Pros

Company has good pay and pretty good benefits. Moved to unlimited PTO when became clear that buyout by Vista private equity firm meant no more RSU's or employee stock purchase plans shares. CEO has clear vision but loss of institutional knowledge from loss of long time employees is worrisome. Corporate culture better than many other companies. Product has 50% market share so still very attractive as a saleable product.

Cons

Company morale seems soaring at Tacoma, WA location, but sagging badly in Santa Clara, CA HQ which has offshored many Finance roles to India in recent months. Recent compaction of all Santa Clara employees from 2 buildings into 1 has added some energy, but added to stress too. Turnover still too high. Vista's silly online personality testing before and after hire seems a bit intrusive and big brother like. Losing some good job candidates that don't want to deal with this type of nonsense. Way too many employees looking to get out. No longer seems like a long term home, which is sad.

Pros

Used to be a great place to work. People were generally helpful and friendly.

Cons

After the buyout, a lot of people left and morale is near zero. Firing people and moving jobs to Tacoma, WA. Marketing lacks consistent vision and messaging.

Although there have been some changes post acquisition, our core values have remained the same. Transparency, Collaboration and the No Jerks policy remain key to our culture. Employee referrals are extremely important to our recruiting efforts and we value our employee’s recommendations of talent. If you have someone you would love to work with again, please send them to Human Resources! We offer cash bonuses up to $4,000 for hired referrals, as well as monthly drawings for other cool stuff!

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We value you as an employee and hope you feel that way. While we have gone to a privately held company, there are many great benefits of being a privately held company such as it allows us to be more strategic and execute on long-term growth strategy and gives us greater access to capital. Our culture of absolute integrity, collaboration, fun (of course!), and respect for others will NEVER change. Thank you for your dedication during this time and please continue to bring your thoughts and suggestions internally as well.
