Pros

Useful product, better than managing a bunch of unix/linux servers and building out your own backend API's/Scripts for logging/management/upgrades, etc. Adding of "security" data makes the product more useful, logging of data and needed data points could be better though.

Cons

Point product. No major improvements last two years. Push to BloxDDI sacrificed ability of full feature set and impacted ability of current customers to get significant UI/Code improvements. Due to code restrictions, scripting that can be done in unix/linux not possible in product. Also product not the fastest when compared to unix/linux, but it is purpose built and has inherent protections unix/linux does not. Company is now double private= two equity company owners, which means compensation is being brought inline with OTE, no more going past- which was major reason for sales staff to stay. No stock, and gated compensations, why be there?

Pros

• Interesting tech. This varies team-by-team, though. I can't speak for the company as a whole. • Lots of opportunities to develop relevant skills, so long as you're motivated and care about getting better. • Friendly coworkers. • Pretty good work/life balance.

Cons

• Incredibly disorganized and chaotic due to poor management from the senior engineering managers. • Low engineering standards. Infoblox cares very little about code quality and common-sense development practices, which is a morale killer. • Infoblox has a very corporate atmosphere, which can sometimes gross me out (e.g. badly-used memes in company-wide emails). • Cheap. I don't buy that once-a-week lunches are "too expensive" for a multi-million dollar security company.
