Truly a great place

Pros

Culture is very important, and it does come top down. Development is offered and encouraged, along with career ladders. We've increased paid parental leave to 12 weeks for the primary care-giver and have just launched a program to support women returning to the workplace.

Cons

Work and life balance are a struggle, as there is always more to do, and a push do it faster. We are struggling to scale to growth in some areas, but the need is known and is starting to be addressed.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear that our culture is felt from the top down and that development, career ladders, and growth opportunities are real and encouraged. We also appreciate you calling out recent investments like expanded paid parental leave and support for our successful "returnship" program. At the same time, we hear your concerns about issues that can come with growth. Scaling sustainably, prioritizing well, and resourcing the right areas are ongoing focus points, and it is helpful to know you are seeing the need recognized and steps beginning to take shape. Thank you for your feedback and for everything you have contributed to make Infoblox a great place to work.

Pros

Overall, Infoblox treated its employees well and actually stands by its diversity goals. Good benefits, decent pay if you get a bonus, and mostly reasonable work demands. I would have stayed if I hadn't been laid off. I enjoyed my direct team, and the work projects were engaging.

Cons

They gutted my small team while I was on vacation, driven by internal politics. Afterward, they told me my job was safe while prying me for knowledge and then had me train my US-based replacements. Afterward, they laid me off on Thanksgiving and then outsourced my job to Mexico City to save money while they prepare to IPO. The two people who made the decision didn't seem to care much after delivering the news, and they didn't check in on me, even though I'd been asked to work for two more weeks to finish training my replacements. The only saving grace is that they gave me a month of extra pay, a decent severance, and three months of COBRA coverage. Work hours were often demanding, with 60-70hr weeks for months at a time. A good chunk of turnover happened among other teams.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are glad to hear you felt supported by your direct team, found the work engaging, and experienced benefits and a commitment to our diversity goals. We are also sorry to hear how the transition was handled from your perspective, particularly around timing, communication, and the experience of being asked to transfer knowledge while feeling uncertain about your role. While we cannot address individual employment situations, internal decisions, or specific claims in a public forum, we do take concerns about respect, transparency, and how change is managed very seriously. That includes how leaders communicate during organizational changes and how we support employees through difficult moments. Your comments about sustained long hours and burnout are also important. We want high performance to be sustainable, and we continue working on clearer prioritization, better resourcing, and healthier operating rhythms across teams. We appreciate the contributions you made while at Infoblox and the candor in your review. If you are open to sharing more context, we encourage you to contact our People team so your feedback can be reviewed by the appropriate leaders. We wish you success in your next role.

Pros

Great learning opportunities – Exposure to interesting projects and modern tech stacks that help you grow your engineering skills. Supportive team culture – Teammates are collaborative and willing to help when needed. Strong benefits package – Good health benefits, wellness programs, and employee resources. Inclusive environment – The company invests in diversity, inclusion, and creating a welcoming workplace.

Cons

Work–life balance can be challenging – Frequent cross–time‑zone collaboration leads to early morning or late‑evening meetings. At times, meeting load can interrupt focus time and reduce productivity.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review, and welcome to Infoblox! We’re glad you’re seeing benefits and resources that help you grow as a Bloxer. It’s also important to hear that you’ve experienced an inclusive environment, because that’s a standard we work to uphold across teams. We appreciate the honest feedback as well. When collaboration spans geographies, meeting times and volume can add real friction. We want teams to be intentional about meeting practices and protect time for deep work so productivity does not get squeezed. If you’re open to sharing specifics, we encourage you to connect with your manager and/or the People Team so your input can help inform improvements. Again, welcome aboard!
