Work-life Balance: One of the best IT companies in Bangalore I have seen. Environment is usually positive which helps employee deliver their best. Company Values: Very customer focused and this is great. Happy customers means more business which creates more positive environment inside the company which helps retain best talent HR policies/salary packages: Very competitive. Informatica believes in paying top money to top talent. Best reason to work here: Employee would know soooooo much about all greats products such as SalesForce, SAP, AWS, Hadoop, Cassandra other than top of the line Informatica products. Domain knowledge built here can really build any individual's career.

Cons

There is definitely room to become more Agile. Informatica can definitely improve its Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) to release products sooners, gain feedback from analytics data, built and deliver more on the usage patterns......<cycle continues>

Pros

* Good exposure to global enterprise clientele * Great foundation for new PMs in enterprise software (processes, complexity and pace!) * Good work-life balance * If you are interested in complex, slow-evolving technologies & products, this place will be an interesting place

Cons

* Inherits all disadvantages of MNC offices in India (Command-Control at HQ only; PST time calls, Multiple BUs vs Platform) * Inherits all disadvantages of previous generation Enterprise Software (Convoluted products / technologies with a lot of history and geography, Yearly releases are normal, not very modern products especially poor UX) * Specifically, the nature of products are highly technical - if you don't have a tech background, most likely you'll struggle to do anything of note as a PM) * Some Indian teams are burdened with post-retirement managers! Check which team you are joining if you are.
