Pros

Informatica is a known name among top companies globally, and is well regarded by all; makes it pretty easy to work in pre-sales! The company is run by grown ups who know how to balance an engaging and rewarding environment against the hard decisions that all companies must make in order to keep moving forward.

Cons

poor access to career opportunities. Inconsistent quality of middle managers. Lots of layers of management, seems like overkill.

pros and cons of working at informatica

Pros

work life balance. Good work in some roles. Work life balance is really good. The quality of work is variable but some roles do have interesting and exciting work.

Cons

Most managers have no clue about carrier planning. HR is weak and almost non existent. In the last two years politics at all levels has become intense

Very good work environment. Encourage new people. Responsibility Excellent Manager Recognition for hard work is definite. New ideas are always welcome.

Cons

Less time for personal life. More work pressure over month and quarter ends which is common in every company. Good pay but not excellent.
