Pros

Solid training scheme for those starting out in the industry, genuine flexible working policy, lovely colleagues for the most part and individual teams/accounts vary

Cons

You are very much shielded from the workload during the allegro training scheme, once you’ve graduated, the workload piles up and senior management care more about timesheets and account revenue than your welfare. Steady stream of burned out senior writers left my team during my 3+ years with the company (including multiple acquisitions and rebrands). The CD&R acquisition effectively killed the company culture, it got too big - I joined multiple rebrands before when my agency was called Ashfield Healthcare. New business is won and immediately staff are called on to help recruit more staff because there isn’t the resource to deliver said new business.

Pros

Efficient interview process, professional district manager who was personable and helpful. The onboarding process went well. Training for the medications took place, of course, through the pharmaceutical organization. My Inizio (Ashfield Engage is technically who I worked for.) manager always reached out with an answer, quickly, when I contacted her. I would definitely work for INIZIO again.

Cons

The sales contract I was hired on was, we were told, to last approximately a year and a half, possibly two years. Four and a half months later the pharmaceutical company whose medications I was selling decided to end that particular contract, laying off everyone hired on this contract, as well as a significant number of their own employees as well. I realize this happens and it's "just business." This is really the only "con" I have to share.

Awful company - don’t care about people

Pros

Coworkers are generally friendly - as long as they are not in upper management

Cons

- Poor pay - Lack of personal development opportunities or promotions (unless you consider a title change and extra work with no pay a promotion) - Absolutely no regard for the people that work there. I worked there for a little over a year and saw three rounds of layoffs. The company only cares about profits and will continue to lay off workers and pile more work on to the ones left behind, for no extra pay. If you’re lucky you’ll get a measly “bonus” after the company records profits , but don’t expect a pay increase. Factoring in the rate of inflation that essentially means you are making less this year than last year while doing twice the work, because all your colleagues are being laid off. Really shortsighted direction from upper management and lots of incompetent clowns in positions that they are very unqualified for.
