corporate seems to care about people, decent benefits

Cons

It's all about who you actually work with. I'm sure there are some nice people in the company, but the business unit I was in was a fail from top to bottom. The manager delegated onboarding to people who didn't have any clue how to train people and had no social skills whatsoever. Environment was super catty, and many employees were downright rude.
