One of the most glaring issues is the pervasive culture of line management bullying. It's disheartening to witness how some managers consistently belittle and intimidate their subordinates. Constructive criticism is one thing, but the constant demeaning language and aggressive behaviour create an unbearable atmosphere. It seems that such behaviour is not only tolerated but, in some cases, even condoned by higher-ups.
Furthermore, the expectation to work until burnout is a prevalent and damaging aspect of the company culture. There is an unspoken rule that employees are expected to sacrifice their personal lives for the sake of the company's success. The work-life balance promised during the hiring process is a distant memory, as late nights and weekends become the norm rather than the exception. This relentless demand for excessive hours not only jeopardizes the well-being of employees but also negatively impacts the quality of work produced.
