Pros

Great clinical teams and dedicated staff. They truly care about patients and outcomes. Some new leaders are attempting to change the culture and have made significant progress at the hospital level.

Cons

IT Leadership was Missing in Action for most of my tenure. This includes the latest CIO who never made it to any of the hospitals to meet his onsite team supporting the ongoing Covid-19 efforts. Many team members were looking for leadership and guidance during these pressing times and he was missing in action in all cases and didn't even have the decency to thank the front Line IT teams for putting their lives and families' lives at risk. If you follow the Mission Vision Values as prescribed by the CEO you will be targeted and chastised for bringing up challenges. Team members who want to maintain employment will go along to get along to ensure they remain gainfully employed. Team members, who are not all bad, are afraid to do the right thing in fear of retaliation from their managers. Not having a framework of trust in a Hospital system, is very concerning and I sincerely hope some folks in IT and in the System will have the courage and integrity to do the right thing moving forward.
