Pros
I work on a medical surgical unit and it gets busy but our supervisors make sure we typically get 5 patients max, 6 patients if there's no other option but that rarely has happened to me. They do everything they can to make sure we are doing okay, if we are satisfied with the job, chances for improvement, education opportunities. I really enjoy working here. This is my first RN job and I feel like they always work with you and support you. I have other nursing friends that went got hired by other hospitals but left already because it was too overwhelming, patient ratio was too high, and always short on nurses.
Cons
The only con I have is that they expect you to be done with shift report by 1930 which is very unrealistic.
