      Pros

      Helping people with health and related financial issues was a big plus.

      Cons

      Too many non IT people have IT positions. You could be an administrative assistant one day and a Senior IT Systems Analyst the next. They also just let 50 at a time go with no warning at all after 15 years of service. In Healthcare IT they don't want you touching the keyboards when they dismiss you so out the door immediately you go.

      Unfair Job Classification - administrative /clerical job levels and pay are based on who you support, not the work you do Raises not based on merit, but if the company decides to give them that year; if you get a raise, it's tiny HR recruiters don't do a very good job deciding on who is qualified for which jobs Although you accrue a lot of vacation time each pay cycle, you're expected to use it for holidays, even when your department is closed
