      Pros

      Lots of great experience for a level trauma 1 center. A lot of the EMT's are pre-PA or pre-med. New skills and ability to be trauma certified. Good flexibility if taking classes, as long as you can fulfill your hours and work every other weekend.

      Cons

      Extremely short staffed. Long hours. The turn over rate is very high. Long wait times for patients. Required to work every other weekend, however not enforced for some staff. Pay is very low compared to other ER's, don't expect a good rate even if you have years of experience.
