      Pros

      HR is vey fair with their employees. They bend over backwards to follow Reasonable Accomodations for employees with medical issues. They offer lots of training to employees at several levels. Good feedback loops are in place to allow HR to learn how management is being perceived. Their attention to detail in patient care is unparalleled in being meticulous, ongoing, under review and open to suggestion. Makes you proud to be on their team.

      Cons

      The Affordable Care Act has forced them to downsize and "do more with less" to allow the Inova System not to go into the red. This has meant waves of layoffs for folks doing a good job

      Pros

      Coworkers, nonprofit, don't have to scan every item used. Have onsite phlebotomist, and tech to help with duties. Internal transfers available within the hospital or other branches. Errors used as teaching moments and not punitive.

      Cons

      Understaffed most of the time. Nurse and patient ratio is not good. Assignments not based on acuity. Focus not on direct patient car but scores for the hospital and how to increase them.
