Incredibly short staffed. Job responsibilities are multiplying due to lack of staff, high turnover rate with slow hiring, and upper management making decisions that they want nearly impossible results with a skeleton crew. Inova continues to build more and more facilities, but lack the employees to run current units. The work/life balance in my specific office is horrible, and patient safety appears to come second to "billable hours" And the scheduling is terrible and makes no sense in regards to continuity

Short staffed, high acuity and unbalanced patient assignments make shifts a bit chaotic sometimes. Benefits are meh...expensive Health insurance
