      Pros

      Inova has great people who genuinely care about patients and go the extra mile to provide high quality patient care. The benefits are pretty good too.

      Cons

      Sometimes the senior management was not aware of or responsive to employee concerns. In most cases, it was difficult to deviate from "corporate policy" even if the situation warranted it.

      Poor management, excellent benefits with fair pay

      Pros

      The benefit package with Inova is great. Hourly pay is fair, not fabulous - but fair. In theory - the fellowships they offer for Nursing are great - however, what is promised with a fellowship is not necessarily what happens once you sign on.

      Cons

      Management is not great, at best. Communication between management teams is lacking. Understaffed floors have burned out nurses ( who have been constantly training new hires ) leaving the experienced nurses on the floors frustrated and with a lack of patience for new grads or new hires who are changing specialties and require extensive training in their new, chosen field. Patient care can suffer, staff is exhausted and overworked and promises made at the time of hire are not met.

      Pros

      great benefits- 401K contribution is high, good insurance especially if you use in-house healthcare services, education and adoption assistance. fun staff in many departments. pretty easy to move between departments if you're interested in that and have the experience, lots of job opportunities

      Cons

      sometimes cutthroat attitude, lots of "grass is greener" type shuffling of staff between departments/units, no raises based on merit only on seniority/years of experience prior to hire. you can't negotiate salary here. no
