Don't bother, you'll get laid off in a year.

Pros

They offer a friendly work environment and, if you're smart, you can get a high compensation package.

Cons

For the last three years there have been massive layoffs. You will be over-paid once you get a job but don't expect to keep it long. They laid off 200+ people three weeks ago with out warning once they lost two major clients due to mismanagement. It didn't matter about seniority or experience or even productivity so watch out!

Pros

Improvements in some work processes

Cons

Improvements in processes exceedingly slow due to several factors, some of which include outdated apps/equipment, having to justify literally every minute in spite of working on required issues beyond reviewing records; incompetence still exists in middle and upper management. In response to the statement re: salary - that depends on your geographical location and expectations of what you feel is your worth as a professional nurse with related experience both clinical and administrative. Which explains why a large, if not a majority percentage of reviewers reside in southern states where salaries are not competitive and never have been. Residents of those states tend to have no basis of comparison if they are only familiar with what the pay scale in their region, but does not speak nor relate to national levels in other states/areas. Those of us who have worked elsewhere recognize what constitutes competitive pay with recognition of professional standards and knowledge. A statement referencing a great salary does not speak for many who beg to differ.

Pros

Inovalon will hire/promote anyone, no matter how inexperienced you are at the position. The location is not bad if you live in the Wash DC area.

Cons

Management has a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. This company is plagued with inexperienced VPs, Sr. Directors, and Directors. Too many over paid chiefs, and unfortunately skillful “associates” who are not valued. Bonuses are given to “associates” who are close friends with the ELT (Executive Leadership Team), unless you’re the only “associate” within a department getting an equity increase. Specialty teams are hired to clean house within the company, and when the idea of an investment opportunity dwindles, the team disburses and moves on the next investment. Attempts at being “employer of choice” are not met, because leaders and the champions of change don’t have a clue as to how to accomplish this objective. Management does not communicate with the line staff; associates are placed into roles/positions they have no interest in fulfilling. Expectations are unrealistic, you are expected to work long hours, weekends and there is no work/life balance. This company experiences a lot of Department of Labor compliance problems.
