Shiny exterior, but it's missing the rich Corinthian leather interior
Pros
There are some REALLY good people to work with and for in this company and the opportunities to learn is abundant. There are opportunities for growth within the company and supervisors/management encourage this, though it may take several attempts and the onset of depression before it actually happens for some. The company does its best to provide a good work/life balance and lead with values (rather than a bottom line). There are opportunities for volunteering, generous time off, full benefits right from the start and a positive attitude in most of the people you find around you.
Cons
There are some REALLY good people to work with and for in this company and the opportunities to learn is abundant. That said, there is quite a bit of lateral movement in the management/supervisory level. If you're interviewing with this company, definitely know what type of supervisory style works best for how you work, determine what style is interviewing you, and stay active to avoid the style(s) that affect your productivity or growth. While at the door, it helps to know someone already within the company, it helps to "fit in" with the "right" group afterwards, IF what they like is what you like. Expect what you know that follows bad management to happen. As far as pay, it's not uncommon to hear others saying they have a "side gig" somewhere in the halls.
