It's a lot of work for little return

Pros

The training was excellent. The head of the Houston office is outstanding.

Cons

The company drops you after 11 weeks of no production, so there go the much-touted residuals. It can be hard keeping up production outside of open enrollment. I was told I'd make $350 for signing up new Medicare clients. I got $150 for everyone, old or new, and I had to drive all over creation to do it. Preference is given to top producers.

Pros

They have a nice office, occasionally have free food during meetings, have a portfolio of products, experts in field of insurance companies come in to talk to agents

Cons

unethical agents; they make their money on bundling packages to ignorant people, racists sales leaders; my sales leader used the N word on numerous occasions,do not expect the sales leader or agency manager to answer your calls, have to pay for licensing, background checks, pre licensing. You are looking at 400$ just to get started. They will hire anyone with a heartbeat. It is so bad that 50 percent of people they hire do not get through licensing, No gas reimbursement, awful training
