Pros

Great benefits, good salary, great colleagues, flexible schedule to a large extent, the retirement match is 11% of your salary and cannot be beaten. The medical and dental insurance are some of the best

Cons

To a large extent you bounce around from project to project every few months. This means you touch a lot of areas, but don't become an expert in anything. The biggest downside is that IDA provides oversite and advises sponsors, but doesn't actually build or produce anything concrete.

Pros

IDA has a great project-based work environment. The company has a very broad research portfolio and serves a wide variety government offices (sponsors). A great place to work on policy relevant applied research.

Cons

Some note lack of advancement opportunities given flat structure.
