For some weird reason, no one understands the titles they hand off every now and then to random people in Montreal office! In recent years, junior people and I mean junior!! got promoted or hired with big titles! They easily name people; Managers, Senior Managers, Product owner, Senior Product owner, Lead, Architect etc. when in reality they are just Analysts or mid-level Analysts! You see a person with hardly 5 years of experience as a Senior PO or a Manager or a Lead, then they are constantly shadowing or asking help from people with 10-15 years of experience who are still titled as Analyst or Senior Analyst (mostly in the States). Even the clients find it funny to deal with these titles while the people are still green in that industry/expertise!

Employees thrive and contribute more when they are supported by management. The lack of management support and follow through creates an environment where it is difficult, at times, to achieve and support the goals of the company. Opportunities and promotions can be heavily influenced by favoritism and not the best qualified.
