Pros
The biggest pro for me is how the company treats its employees: with respect and trust. And I feel that my opinion is valued and heard. I have also grown technically; I attribute it to the flexibility management gives us when developing solutions, as well as how open developers are in sharing ideas. Another big positive is that the company recognizes performance. If you are a contributor, you are recognized and rewarded. It’s also nice that developers are able to work from home when needed.
But the best part, is the people. This can be tough to find but my coworkers truly make OneBeacon a great place to work. Everyone is friendly and very helpful, which creates a great work environment.
Cons
Unfortunately, the building is right next to the YMCA… A daily dilemma of working out vs. hitting the buffet!
